You will mentor assistants, collaborate with families, document progress, and ensure licensing compliance while delivering developmentally appropriate lessons.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a beautiful, organized, and authentic Montessori classroom.
• Plan and implement the Montessori curriculum based on careful observation of each child's individual needs.
• Present Montessori lessons with fidelity to Montessori philosophy and methodology.
• Foster independence, concentration, self-discipline, and a lifelong love of learning.
• Observe, assess, and document children's progress and development.
• Create individualized learning opportunities that support each child's unique developmental journey.
• Establish and maintain positive, respectful classroom management practices.
• Build strong partnerships with families through ongoing communication, conferences, and parent education.
• Mentor and support Assistant Teachers while fostering a collaborative classroom culture.
• Maintain Montessori materials and prepare new lessons as children progress.
• Ensure compliance with DCFS licensing requirements and all health and safety regulations.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and continuous program improvement.
