Montessori Kids Universe Bannockburn is seeking a Montessori Lead Teacher to guide children aged 6 weeks to 6 years toward independence and joy in learning. The role emphasizes leadership in a collaborative classroom, staff mentoring, and active engagement with families and the community.

You will supervise assistants, develop age-appropriate activities, and ensure safety and compliance with licensing standards while fostering a warm, nurturing atmosphere that supports children's growth.

Qualifications

• Montessori Certification from an accredited Montessori training center desired - not required, we will train.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of one year of full-time teaching experience in an early childhood setting.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsabilités

• Lead a Montessori-prepared environment supporting each child’s development.
• Plan and implement Montessori lessons and activities tailored to individual learners.
• Ensure the classroom is organized, safe, and prepared with age-appropriate materials.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and nurturing environment promoting independence and self-confidence.
• Maintain a normalized classroom with opportunities to develop coordination, concentration, independence, and order.
• Build strong relationships with families by communicating progress and conducting conferences.
• Collaborate with staff to create enriching curriculum experiences and participate in staff meetings and training.
• Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers to maintain a cohesive teaching team.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and Montessori accreditation standards; maintain records.
