Job summary

American Montessori Society is seeking a lead Montessori teacher in Rancho Cucamonga, CA to advance authentic Montessori learning with a child-led approach. The role requires MACTE-accredited Montessori Early Childhood credentials.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, fostering independence and social-emotional growth, managing daily lessons, assessments and safety, and collaborating with colleagues.

Qualifications

• MACTE-accredited Montessori Early Childhood credential required.
• AMS Full Credential or Associate Teacher Credential welcome.
• Associate degree or equivalent requirement.
• Experience with Montessori instruction in early childhood.
• Ability to work in person at the Rancho Cucamonga location.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate Montessori curriculum aligned with standards.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment promoting exploration, independence, and SEL.
• Manage daily activities, lesson planning, behavior management, and assessments.
• Support children with special education needs and early intervention strategies.
• Maintain records of student progress and documentation for testing/reporting.
• Foster positive communication with parents regarding welfare and progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance programs and participate in PD.
• Ensure safety standards in classroom and facility.
