Job summary

Dynomax Inc. is seeking a Molding Supervisor for the 2nd shift to coordinate production with the production coordinator, molding technicians and operators on smaller tonnage injection presses.

You will work with Thermoset and Thermoplastics materials and ensure safety and efficiency. The role requires overseeing tasks, mentoring staff, and implementing improvement initiatives, with responsibility for hiring, performance, and compliance with company policies and labor laws.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Thermo Plastics and Thermo Set materials.
• Reading and interpreting part/engineering drawings.
• Basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, microscopes).
• Ability to delegate and assign work to appropriate personnel.
• Knowledge of company policy and employment laws.
• Ability to organize, plan and prioritize workload to maximize production results.
• Complex problem solving and high impact solutions.
• Advanced judgment and decision making for cost-benefit analysis.
• Ability to implement strategic initiatives from GM.

Responsibilities

• Motivate employees to work together and accomplish tasks.
• Monitor department production, operations and quality to meet standards.
• Direct and coordinate work tasks of direct reports.
• Assist production in molding technician duties as needed.
• Assist in hiring/terminating department staff per policy.
• Maintain personnel records and submit to department Manager/HR.
• Maintain time sheets and monitor overtime for direct reports.
• Analyze production, maintenance, quality control and other reports to resolve concerns.
• Prepare, review and monitor department reports.
• Develop and implement production, quality and cost improvement initiatives.
