Qualifications

• 1–5+ years of injection-molding mold repair experience.
• Physically able to bend, squat, twist, climb, push/pull, reach and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Ability to work in small spaces (as small as 2 ft x 2 ft).
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision in a team environment.
• Energetic, self-motivated and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots mold, process and press problems to determine root cause.
• Replace and fit parts of molds, components, accessories and support equipment as needed.
• Repairs, adjusts and modifies molds to address production issues and engineering changes.
• Utilizes trade skills such as welding, polishing and machining.
• Communicates with supervisors, processors and other technical personnel.
• Maintain housekeeping standards of assigned area.
• Operate overhead cranes, powered vehicles and other machinery as needed.
• Set job priorities for assigned staff and monitor progress throughout the shift.
• Ensures compliance with all standards, rules, policies and procedures for assigned staff.
• Perform administrative tasks such as parts ordering, work orders and shift reports.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
