Job summary

HellermannTyton North America is seeking a Lead Mold Maker to head the construction of new molds per CAD designs and detailed prints. The role involves evaluating and repairing molds to support production while upholding Quality and EHS standards.

You will delegate tasks, coordinate with QA and other departments, and ensure molds meet dimensional and functional requirements before release. A strong background in toolmaking and CAD is essential.

Qualifications

• Journeyman toolmaker certification or 10+ years toolmaker experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CAD software experience preferred: SolidWorks and/or Mastercam.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction of new molds per CAD or detailed prints with minimal supervision.
• Evaluate and repair molds; implement engineering changes.
• Identify tooling improvements and communicate them.
• Delegate work to toolmakers, apprentices, or supporting departments.
• Operate toolroom equipment (surface grinders, mills, cutoff saw, drill press).
• Prepare steel for heat-treat and coordinate material pickup.
