Job summary

MITRE is seeking a Lead Modeling and Simulation Analyst to support national security missions. You will develop and apply advanced modeling, simulation, and analytical tools, integrating math, physics, engineering, and programming to deliver actionable insights for sponsors.

Work closely with stakeholders to ensure mission alignment. Role requires 4+ days on-site, active Secret clearance with Top Secret/SCI eligibility, and strong programming skills (C/C++, Java, Python, MATLAB).

Qualifications

Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Systems Engineering, OR, CS, Math, Physics, Aerospace) with 8+ years experience.
Experience with operational analysis tools (AFSIM, STK, NGTS, STORM).
Experience in developing and debugging physics-based modeling and simulation tools.
Experience in quantitative analysis of simulation results.
Strong presentation skills to non-technical audiences and senior leaders.
Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Julia, Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica.
Active Secret clearance; eligible for Top Secret/SCI; U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the development and application of modeling and simulation tools by providing technical expertise and support.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to refine methodologies and address technical challenges.
Shape project strategies by identifying and recommending innovative techniques and tools to improve modeling, simulation, and analysis capabilities.
