Job summary

The Intersect Group is seeking a Mobile Engineering Manager in Anderson, SC to lead a team of iOS and Android engineers, driving technical direction and delivery for mobile initiatives. This hands-on leadership role combines people management with software development and architectural responsibilities.

You will mentor engineers, shape roadmaps, and contribute to coding and architecture efforts, while collaborating with Product, UX, and QA to deliver robust mobile experiences in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and supporting production mobile applications.
• Experience leading, managing, or mentoring software engineers.
• Strong expertise in iOS and/or Android development, with familiarity across both platforms.
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, including authentication, authorization, versioning, and error handling.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture, distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and database technologies.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with connected devices and external systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of modern software development practices, including source control, automated testing, CI/CD, security, monitoring, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mobile engineers, fostering collaboration and growth.
• Define technical direction, roadmap planning, prioritization, and delivery for mobile initiatives.
• Contribute through coding, architecture design, and development of complex features.
• Drive app architecture and integrations across APIs, cloud services, databases, and devices.
• Partner with Product, UX, Engineering, QA to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.
• Establish and maintain best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD, security, monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and timelines.
• Promote culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
