Job summary

Nubank in Palo Alto seeks a Lead Software Engineer to build mobile and full-stack crypto experiences. You will own end-to-end delivery across mobile interfaces and backend services, balancing usability with security and reliability.

You will mentor engineers, shape technical design, and collaborate with product, design, security, and compliance. This hands-on IC role demands strong system thinking and leadership in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating production mobile apps with API/back-end depth.
• Led medium-term engineering initiatives from design to production.
• Strong client architecture, state management, API contracts, testing and reliability.
• Product judgment and simplifying complex workflows for customers.
• Experience designing secure, transactional features.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly with cross-functional partners.
• Experience mentoring engineers and improving team practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, launch, and operation of customer-facing mobile and full-stack crypto experiences.
• Own product flows across mobile interfaces, APIs, service integrations, data/state, release readiness, and post-launch health.
• Translate wallets, asset movement, and onchain transactions into clear customer experiences.
• Make independent team-level architecture decisions with tradeoffs across usability, security, performance, reliability, and delivery speed.
• Build resilient transactional experiences with validation, error handling, recovery paths, testing, and observability.
• Coordinate dependencies with backend, platform, security, compliance, product, and design partners to move initiatives from ambiguity to production.
• Mentor engineers and raise the team's standards for mobile architecture, code quality, operational ownership, and customer-centered engineering.
