Job summary

Nu is building a new generation of crypto experiences. As Lead Software Engineer in Palo Alto, you will design and deliver customer-focused mobile and full-stack crypto experiences, guiding the team from concept through production with strong emphasis on security, reliability, and performance.

You will mentor engineers, shape architecture decisions, and collaborate with product, design, backend, and platform teams to deliver scalable, high-quality experiences in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Must have shipped production mobile apps and work across APIs and backend services.
• Led engineering initiatives from design to production.
• Strong foundations in client architecture, state management, and API contracts.
• Experience with testing, performance, reliability, and security-aware features.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and raise team standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, launch, and operation of customer-facing mobile and full-stack crypto experiences.
• Own complete product flows across mobile interfaces, APIs, and service integrations.
• Translate wallets, asset movement, and onchain transactions into clear user experiences.
• Make independence team-level architecture decisions with tradeoffs in usability, security, performance, and delivery speed.
• Build resilient transactional experiences with validation, error handling, and observability.
• Coordinate dependencies with backend, platform, security, compliance, product, and design teams to production.
• Mentor engineers and raise team standards for mobile architecture and code quality.
