Reddit, Inc. is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Feed Ecosystems team.

You will guide a high-impact group of ML engineers focused on building recommendation systems that drive growth, improve relevance for new and low-signal users, and balance discovery with ecosystem health. You will collaborate with product, design, safety, and platform partners to deliver scalable ML solutions, maintain high system reliability, and uphold responsible AI practices across Reddit’s vast

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience leading ML or recommender-systems teams.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale production ML systems including recommender, personalization, or content understanding.
• Strong understanding of recommender-system dynamics, ranking, and measurement strategies.
• Ability to develop and communicate a clear technical strategy across ambiguous problems.
• Passion for scalable, well-designed, responsible AI that benefits users and ecosystems.
• Excellent collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and long-term roadmap for Feed Ecosystems.
• Coach and grow your team, expanding their skills and impact.
• Partner with product, design, data science, safety, ads, and platform teams to align on opportunities.
• Oversee design, development, and optimization of ML systems for cold-start and distribution.
• Define and measure signals for quality, balancing engagement with user value and ecosystem health.
• Collaborate with platform/infrastructure teams to build scalable AI-enabled systems.
• Maintain high standards for performance, reliability, and responsible AI practices.
• Partner with recruiting to attract and hire diverse ML engineers.
