Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation in Austin, TX seeks a Mixed-Signal SOC Engineer for the Infrastructure Power team. You will own design, verification, test, and validation of power management ICs through production and sustaining support, collaborating across firmware, test, product, and customer engineering teams to define requirements and drive decisions.

The role requires deep expertise in analog/mixed-signal design and system-level architecture, with a track record of rapid skill acquisition

Qualifications

• Proven tapeout-to-production experience in mixed-signal SOCs.
• Deep expertise in core functional disciplines and cross‑functional familiarity.
• Experience in analog & mixed-signal design (compensation, feedback, power conversion).
• Experience in RTL & digital design (control firmware, telemetry, algorithms).
• Experience in design verification (simulation, formal methods, DV methodology).
• System-level design/architecture experience.
• Ability to rapidly acquire new technical skills across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, verification, test, and validation of power management subsystems through production and sustaining support.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with firmware, test, product, and customer engineering teams to define requirements and drive decisions.
• Perform root cause analysis on customer returns and field issues to ensure long-term product excellence.
• Contribute to system-level architecture and design reviews across functional areas.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical growth across the team.
• Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies, verification strategies, and validation approaches.
