Job summary

Austin Industrial in Decatur, IL is seeking a Millwright/Civil Construction Leadman (Per Diem). You will read blueprints, coordinate with supervision and other crafts, and help plan and execute maintenance and construction tasks.

The position requires 3–5 years journeyman experience in millwright or civil carpentry, NCCER certifications, TWIC, and a strong safety mindset. Per diem available, with 5/10s schedule and $120 daily rate; eligible for comprehensive benefits with employee ownership.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and align industrial equipment and machinery.
• Coordinate with supervision and other crafts to complete work safely.
• Inspect and repair pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors; verify tolerances and alignment.
• Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and capital projects.
• Follow safety requirements and maintain clear records.
