Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools in Vancouver, WA is seeking a part-time Middle School Cheer Coach for Pacific Middle School. The role requires attending practices, games and coordinating with the Athletic Director to promote the sport district-wide.

The ideal candidate will have First Aid/CPR, a Type II driver's license, and prior high school coaching experience; duties include equipment management, scheduling, and fostering positive relationships with students, staff and the community.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid/CPR card required.
• Current Type II driver's license required.
• Previous high school coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend all practices, games, tournaments, and meetings as directed.
• Must be able to drive a district van to transport participants.
• Coordinate coaching methods with the head high school coach.
• Promote the sport within the district and community.
• Maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
• Ensure all students have clearance from the athletic office.
• Distribute and record equipment and submit records to the Athletic Director.
• Organize, direct and supervise practice sessions and contests.
• Assist with scheduling and monitor eligibility requirements.
