Job summary

Requirements include 1-3 years of head coaching at middle/high school, strong organizational and communication skills, and completion of RIIL/NFHS coaching and safety courses along with background checks within

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Head Coaching Basketball experience at the Middle School or High School level preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the game and current coaching techniques.
• Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to relate to students on and off the court and accept accountability.
• Completion of required RIIL/RIPCOA courses and background checks within six months.

Responsibilities

• Supervising athletes during practices and competition.
• Instructing players in rules, equipment, and techniques of basketball.
• Organize and direct individual and small group practice activities.
• Formulate game strategy and manage equipment security.
• Model appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.
• Travel to away contests and participate in events and staff meetings.
