Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a qualified Inspection Services Process Owner to lead dimensional inspections and SLM-based metrology in our La Porte, IN facility. You will leverage GOM, ATOS, Siemens NX, and related tools to dimensionally inspect castings, fixtures, and gauges, ensuring conformance to established specifications and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 5 years' experience with working knowledge of CMM/SLM experience
• Must possess the ability to create inspection programs via GOM at time of application
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available
• Export control data experience is required for this position

Responsibilities

• Lead inspection team to ensure safe, high-quality operations and on-time delivery
• Interpret complex blueprints and inspection requirements with GD&T and SLM focus
• Provide programming, data setup and technical support for metrology needs
• Train staff on SLM and other metrology equipment
• Maintain standardized inspection methodologies and reporting for SLM processes
• Coordinate with engineers to ensure conformance to specifications and audits
