Job summary

Job Juncture seeks a Principal Process Engineer to lead advanced metrology and gauging initiatives across global manufacturing facilities. You will partner with engineering, quality, and operations teams to deploy CMMs, optical systems, and on-machine gauging with a focus on metrology performance and process capability.

The role requires hands-on metrology expertise, GD&T proficiency, and experience directing capital equipment projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced responsibilities.
• 7+ years of experience in metrology or advanced inspection technologies.
• Hands-on experience with CMM operation, programming, calibration, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, metrology standards, and measurement uncertainty analysis.
• Experience with optical measurement systems, vision systems, and on-machine gauging.
• Knowledge of MSA, gauge R&R, process capability studies, and root cause analysis.
• Experience using JMP or similar statistical software.
• Proven ability to lead capital equipment projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of advanced metrology and gauging solutions across global facilities.
• Provide technical leadership for CMMs, optical systems, on-machine gauging, and automated inspection platforms.
• Serve as SME in dimensional metrology, surface measurement, calibration methods, and uncertainty analysis.
• Calibrate, verify, and evaluate metrology equipment for accuracy and compliance.
• Develop technical strategies to support quality, productivity, and goals.
• Lead capital equipment projects from specification to startup and optimization.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for on-time delivery.
• Conduct benchmarking studies to inform manufacturing decisions and cost reductions.
• Analyze measurement system performance using statistical methods to improve capability.
• Drive continuous improvement in inspection efficiency and safety.
