Job summary

Abbott is a global healthcare leader based in Minnesota, seeking a Metrologist, Calibration to support Woodridge; St. Paul operations. You will calibrate electronic test equipment, maintain records, and write procedures for production and R&D metrology.

The role emphasizes adherence to FDA, QMS/EMS requirements and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with potential mentoring responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 8+ years experience in calibration of test equipment.
• PMEL certification in US military or equivalent desired.
• Ability to read, write and converse in technical terminology in English.
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate new components per written protocols.
• Maintain calibration records and documentation.
• Set up calibration sequences and procedures.
• Test, calibrate, adjust, and maintain measuring instruments.
• Lead and mentor less experienced staff when needed.
• Support QMS, EMS, and regulatory requirements.
