Job summary

Albemarle County Service Authority is seeking a Meter Operations Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and supervise daily Meter Operations work. You will ensure accuracy of meter data, manage reading routes, and support AMI system performance while guiding staff.

This role requires five years of experience, some college, and a strong knowledge of Cityworks, Munis, GIS, and related utilities. Starting salary ranges from $77,622 to $93,146, with full-time status based in Charlottesville, VA.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressively responsible experience in meter operations or related utility field.
• Thorough knowledge of AMI, Cityworks, Munis, GIS, and utility billing processes.
• Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate staff; communicate effectively; analyze technical information.
• Valid driver’s license; CPR/First Aid/Confined Space certifications or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Oversees meter reading operations, data integrity, and route planning.
• Manages inventory, budget, and reporting for Meter Operations.
• Provides leadership, training, and technical support to staff.
• Coordinates with technical support to resolve AMI and meter issues.
