Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks an experienced Metal Former/Machine Operator to advance maritime manufacturing. You will read drawings, set up CNC plate rollers, hydraulic presses, and fixture methods while collaborating with engineering on a multi-disciplinary workflow. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in metal forming, experience forming cylinders/cones, GD&T proficiency, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Eligibility for a U.S. Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of metal forming technician experience.
• Forming cylinders, cones with plate rollers up to 4–6" thickness.
• Extensive hydraulic press brake experience.
• Familiar with GD&T principles.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely.
• Eligible for U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and CAD models.
• Set up/operate plate rollers, hydraulic presses, and shears.
• Design and lead implementation of workholding fixtures.
• Fabricate pressure vessels and varying alloys with precision.
• Perform in-process and final quality checks.
• Lead organization, machine maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with Quality/Engineering on safety policies.
• Mentor fabrication team on rolling, forming, contouring, and safety.
