Job summary

Bloomingdale’s in Illinois is seeking an experienced Merchandise Manager to lead the store’s visual presentation, merchandise flow and team momentum. This role drives on-brand experiences and collaborates with selling and support teams to elevate customer service and sales performance.

The manager will guide frontline staff, analyze fashion trends and corporate directives, and ensure profitable operations with organized stock areas and effective stock management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or higher in a related field.
• 3–5 years of retail leadership or management experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with internal and external partners.
• Ability to plan, execute, and monitor merchandising strategies.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversees store presentation, merchandise implementation, floor moves and planning.
• Uses comp store data and reports to guide strategy and priorities.
• Coordinates promotional calendars and signing deadlines for store events.
• Manages profitability elements including shrinkage and audit adherence.
• Provides ongoing training and developmental coaching to merchandising and selling teams.
• Empowers teams to execute merchandising strategies and promotions.
• Supports all store operations in the location.
