Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced MEP professional to manage and evaluate information related to mechanical and electrical systems essential for on-time, safe, and budget-compliant project completion according to contract documents.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and at least four years of relevant experience, with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to supervise assistants and coordinate with the VDC team and field staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and minimum four years of relevant engineering experience or equivalent combination.
• Technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems supporting diverse project types.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team, subcontractors, owner’s consultants to ensure alignment and efficient systems installation.
• Prepare and manage contract item lists to ensure ROJ dates align with the project schedule and approvals.
• Participate in schedule updates and provide latest information for accurate planning.
• Evaluate and manage RFIs.
• Manage budget: review, evaluate, and negotiate all change orders with awareness of subcontractors' financial status.
• Supervise, coach and mentor Assistant MEP Engineers.
• Co-lead MEP Coordination with the VDC Engineer to ensure design, operations, maintenance, and quality standards are met.
• Prepare scope of work documents with clear division of responsibilities for trades and temporary operations.
• Coordinate with MEP Superintendent to resolve conflicts between mechanical/electrical systems and site logistics plan.
