Job summary

Submer in Houston, USA seeks an MEP Design Engineer for HPC/AI data centers to own end-to-end MEP design and delivery for large-scale facilities and modular deployments. You will coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, design high-density liquid cooling and power distribution, and ensure compliance with industry standards while working across architecture, IT, and construction teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in mission-critical MEP, familiarity with NVIDIA Grace Blackwell

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; PE license preferred.
• 5+ years in MEP for mission-critical facilities and 3-5 years in large-scale data centers.
• Ability to design HPC/AI data centers across Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Lead holistic MEP design and optimization for hyperscale HPC/AI data centers.
• Design MV/LV distribution, switchboards, UPS, BESS, and electrical protection.
• Oversee liquid cooling, CRAC/CRAH, leak detection, and thermal management for 100+ kW racks.
• Architect modular data center solutions (1-2 MW containers) and 50-300 MW sites.
• Coordinate with architecture, IT, construction through lifecycle phases.
• Ensure NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, IEEE, Uptime Institute compliance.
