The Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist to analyze laboratory specimens and report results in accordance with established protocols. The role includes acting as a supervisor for assigned lab activities and requires ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications include a Baccalaureate Degree in a relevant science, 4 years of MT/CLT experience, and Nevada State General Supervisor license (ASCP or equivalent).

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience as Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Lab Scientist (CLT) with general lab/multi-department experience.
• Nevada State License as general supervisor required; ASCP or equivalent board registration required.
• CLIA'88 definitions apply to the role.

Job Description: Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures. Acts as general supervisor over assigned lab activities. Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Education:

Baccalaureate Degree in relevant science or equivalent as defined by CLIA'88

Experience:

4 years experience as Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Lab Scientist (CLT) with general lab/multi-department experience

Technical Skills:

General bench tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalities

License/Certification:

Nevada State License as general supervisor required; ASCP or equivalent board registration required.
