Lead Medical Technologist (Molecular Lab)

This position involves coordinating laboratory work, performing and interpreting complex chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests, and providing guidance to staff. Responsibilities include evaluating staff performance, scheduling, troubleshooting, developing procedures, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and instructing students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or successful completion of an accredited four-year Medical Technology program.
• Preferred: ASCP certification as an MT.
• Minimum five years of related experience with demonstrated leadership skills.

Work Details:

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9am-5:30pm, with occasional rotating Saturdays.
• Location: UMass Memorial Health, Laboratory Department.
• Non-Exempt status, 40 hours/week.
