Job Responsibilities

1. Coordinate work of others in the laboratory section.
2. Perform and interpret chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests.
3. Ensure equipment proficiency and adherence to protocols.
4. Evaluate and supervise testing procedures, troubleshoot discrepancies.
5. Develop new tests and quality procedures.
6. Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality policies.
7. Instruct and mentor staff and students.
8. Maintain accurate records of tests.

Qualifications

License/Certification/Education:

• Required: Bachelor's degree or successful completion of an accredited four-year school of Medical Technology.
• Preferred: ASCP certification as an MT.

Experience/Skills:

• Five years of related experience with demonstrated leadership skills.

Physical Demands & Environment

Work is sedentary, indoors in a laboratory environment. Hours are 9am-5:30pm, with occasional rotating Saturdays.
