Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed as a medical technologist in the state of Florida.
• Five (5) years of clinical laboratory experience.
• ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains technical quality for the assigned section and ensures compliance with accreditation/licensing (JC, AABB, CAP, CLIA, Florida).
• Supervises technical staff in the assigned section.
• Performs and interprets diagnostic procedures in the laboratory area.
• Maintains quality control, preventive maintenance, and patient records.
• Teaches students in the technical area and completes competencies for team members.
• May cross-train to other job descriptions and performs other duties as assigned.
