Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Support Services Team Leader to join our team at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital - Ozaukee Campus in Mequon, WI.

The role involves supervising daily operations in the core laboratory and blood bank, performing routine and complex procedures, and ensuring quality and efficiency. The position is on a 1st shift, with weekdays 8:30am - 5:00pm and rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the core laboratory and blood bank clinical laboratory departments
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas
• Encourage process improvements and best practices
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Resolve any production errors as requested by management
• Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary
