Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Lead Medical Support Assistant for Home Based Primary Care (HBPC) and Home Based Transitional Care (HBTC) teams.

This lead MSA oversees HBPC AMSAs, provides training, updates listings, and analyzes data to organize complex day-to-day operations of the HBPC programs. Applicants may be referred while requirements are pending; final hire requires meeting education/certification/licensure.

Qualifications

• Six months of clerical, office, customer service or administrative work.
• One year of education above high school or equivalent.
• Education/experience combination acceptable for entry level.
• United States citizenship required; non-citizens only when necessary per policy.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Lead HBPC/HBTC AMSA operations, including training and supervision.
• Maintain and review team listings; extract and analyze data.
• Organize day-to-day MSA operations across HBPC programs.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure care access.
