U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Reno, NV seeks a Lead Medical Supply Technician (MST) to support the Sterile Processing Service. You will lead a unit or team, provide guidance, assign tasks, and ensure work meets job specializations.

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 1100hrs–1930hrs. Telework is not available. This is a full-time GS-6 level position with relocation/recruitment incentives not authorized.

Competenze

• Leads a unit or team of employees at GS-6 level or below.
• Provides guidance and technician direction for accomplishing the work of the unit.
• Trains or arranges for training of team members in accordance with procedures.
• Works with SPS leadership to meet deadlines and priorities.

Mansioni

• Distributes and balances workload among employees according to workflow and capabilities.
• Acts as working Lead Technician, fills in, and distributes workload during shortages or high-priority periods.
• Monitors progress, ensures timely completion, and adjusts priorities as needed.
• Explains requirements and procedures, answers technical questions, and maintains knowledge of policies.
