Responsibilities

• Determines the need for and accesses dosimetric and treatment planning equipment and related devices.
• Participates in the specification, selection and acceptance of radiation therapy systems and planning software.
• Supervises maintenance arrangements for radiation treatment equipment.
• Maintains documentation for radiation treatment plans and equipment and ensures QA compliance.
• Advises physicians and guides staff during patient planning and treatment phases.
• Leads QA and physics-related activities for site brachytherapy programs and clinical instruction.
