Job summary

St. Luke’s Health System in Twin Falls, Idaho, seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible Medical Physicist to join the Cancer Institute team. You will work with physicists and dosimetrists in an Aria/Eclipse environment using Varian TrueBeam accelerators.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Medical Physics or related field.
• Experience: 2 years in radiation oncology physics setting or CAMPEP accredited residency.
• Licenses/Certifications: ABR/ABMP TRP or TMP, OR board eligible with plan to certify within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate all treatment machines and radiation sources per accepted protocols.
• Collaborate with Radiation Safety Officer to meet safety requirements.
• Develop and maintain a QA program with the team.
• Enter beam and source data accurately into the treatment planning system.
• Establish and verify treatment planning and dose calculation procedures.
• Oversee treatment planning and dose distributions with radiation oncologists/dosimetrists.
• Ensure policies cover good practice, safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
• Release machines into clinical service after maintenance with documented changes.
