Job summary

Principle Health Systems is seeking a Lead Medical Laboratory Technologist for the Indianapolis core lab. The role involves supervising daily chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and other testing areas, ensuring CLIA/COLA compliance, and maintaining high accuracy in results.

The candidate will mentor staff, troubleshoot instruments, and help develop procedures while ensuring inventory control and process improvements. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
• MLT or MT (ASCP/AMT) certification required.
• 3+ years of clinical lab experience as a generalist.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the Core Laboratory.
• Coordinate moderate to high complexity testing activities.
• Ensure QC and instrument maintenance per policy.
• Lead and mentor laboratory staff and foster teamwork.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and document follow-ups.
• Act as a technical resource for staff and providers.
• Assist in developing lab procedures and protocols.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate supplies and equipment.
