Job summary

AbbVie in Illinois seeks a senior clinical development leader to oversee direction, planning, and execution of multiple clinical programs. You will ensure study integrity, regulatory compliance, and scientific reporting across development plans, collaborating with Medical Affairs, Discovery, and Commercial teams.

The role requires MD/DO or equivalent, at least 2 years clinical trial experience, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) or non-US equivalent.
• At least 2 years of clinical trial experience in pharma, academia, or equivalent.
• Ability to run a clinical research program of moderate complexity.
• Ability to interact with global teams to support strategy.
• Knowledge of clinical trial methodology and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees design, analysis, and reporting of clinical trial protocols and study documents.
• Provides clinical expertise coordinating scientific activities with internal stakeholders.
• Participates in regulatory discussions and ensures adherence to Good Clinical Practices.
• Leads cross-functional teams and may chair a Clinical Strategy Team.
