Job summary

Marana Health is seeking an Medical Assistant Supervisor to lead the Medical team at the Marana Main Health Center in Marana, AZ. The role provides leadership, mentorship, and operational oversight to MA staff, ensuring high-quality patient care across primary care, specialty, clinical, and behavioral health services.

Strong candidates will have an MA credential (CMA/RMA), ABHES/CAAHEP accreditation, EMR experience, BLS and First Aid certifications, and a valid AZ driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduate of ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited MA program or equivalent.
• EMR experience.
• Current CMA or RMA certification.
• BLS certification (may be obtained with MH).
• First Aid certification (may be obtained with MH).
• Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ).
• Arizona driver’s license with clean driving record and vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight and supervision of MA functions and clinical support workflows.
• Coordinate MA schedules and staffing across sites/services.
• Ensure MA staff are oriented, mentored, and trained for quality patient care.
• Adhere to quality and regulatory requirements; liaison between clinicians and MA team.
• Support integration and consistency across service areas; assist with patient care as needed.
• Identify workflow improvements and partner with leadership to implement changes.
