Job summary

American Family Care Aurora Saddle Rock is seeking a Medical Assistant to support outpatient clinic operations, assist with exams, and maintain patient flow.

The role emphasizes gathering vitals, medical history, preparing patients, administering medications as directed, and ensuring accurate documentation; AMT/AAMA credentials preferred. This position offers a competitive salary and growth opportunities in a fast-paced primary care setting.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
• AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire and train Medical Assistant staff
• Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam
• Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients
• Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure
• Draw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing
