Job summary

Texas Oncology in Houston is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and ensure smooth patient flow in a clinic setting. Under supervision, you will assist with exams, prepare rooms, and perform clerical tasks.

The role offers a path from Level 1 to Sr, with opportunities for certification support and professional growth in a large oncology network. CPR/BCLS readiness and strong communication are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting physicians and clinicians in a clinical setting.
• Ability to record patient data including vital signs and medications.
• Willingness to perform clerical tasks and support clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Record patient data prior to visits including vitals and allergies.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Administer injections as delegated by RN or physician.
• Maintain room disinfection protocols.
• Answer phones and coordinate referrals.
