Texas Oncology seeks a Medical Assistant to join the Houston, TX team. Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Role supports physicians and clinicians in a fast-paced oncology clinic, with duties spanning patient care and clinic operations.

The ideal candidate will have entry to senior-level experience, with relevant certifications and the ability to handle clinical and administrative tasks in a high-touch environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• BCLS/CPR certification required within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Record patient data including vital signs and allergies.
• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures.
• Administer injections as delegated by RN or physician.
• Maintain room disinfection protocols.
• Answer patient calls and coordinate referrals.
• Document and communicate scheduling changes.
