Job summary

You will participate in evaluating MA skills, coordinate orientation and training, and monitor scheduling coverage to maintain efficient operations in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or diploma in Medical Assisting or Medical Assistant Certification required.
• X-Ray program diploma preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire; must be the AHA Healthcare Provider type.
• Certification from board-approved Medical Assistant Organization preferred.
• 5 years experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinical setting required; 6 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical team of Medical Assistants and support physicians and staff.
• Orient and train Medical Assistants according to the approved standard work.
• Review MA clinical and administrative skills and provide feedback.
• Assess workflow and monitor staff/scheduling coverage.

Education

High School Diploma/GED - minimum

Assoc. Degree/College Diploma in Medical Assisting from an accredited educational program and/or Medical Assistant Certification from Board approved Medical Assistant Organization - minimum

Vocational/Technical Diploma Graduate of an accredited X-Ray program - preferred
