Job summary

The Vancouver Clinic, Inc. P.S. is hiring a Lead Medical Assistant for Internal Medicine at our NW Portland location.

This role balances leadership duties with direct patient care, rooming patients, collecting information, and preparing for exams while supporting efficient workflows and a positive patient experience. Responsibilities include mentoring team members, assisting with provider schedules and templates, and overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current national certification (AAMA, NCCT, NHA, AMT) required.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience with an electronic health record, Epic experience strongly preferred.
• Completion of Oregon State-approved chaperone training required.
• CPT-2 course. Must have reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect patient information.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist with procedures.
• Support provider schedules and templates.
• Lead daily operations and mentor team members.
• Balance leadership duties with direct patient care and maintain efficient workflows.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience and care delivery.
