Job summary

Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians in Memphis, TN seeks a Clinic Team Lead to supervise clinic operations while remaining actively involved in patient care. You will help providers, mentor staff, and manage workflows to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred and CMA/RMA certification is favored for leadership readiness. Join a national orthopedic practice focused on minimally invasive spine care and sports medicine.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• CMA/RMA certification strongly preferred.
• Two years leadership experience in a clinic setting required.
• Minimum five years total Medical Assistant experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily clinical operations to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Serve as the go-to resource for staff regarding clinical procedures and workflow.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members and ensure compliance with clinic protocols.
• Assist with direct patient care, including rooming patients, taking medical histories, and vitals.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, medications, and post-visit care.
• Fit and instruct patients on the use of DME.
• Ensure exam rooms and clinical areas are clean, stocked, and properly maintained.
• Monitor inventory and order medical supplies and medications as needed.
• Ensure proper disposal of biohazard and SHARPS materials according to safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with providers and Facilities Manager to identify and solve operational issues.
• Conduct audits and assist with quality improvement efforts.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system.
• Other duties as assigned to support clinic success.

Job Summary:

The Clinic Team Lead serves as a working lead within the clinic, supporting both clinical duties and day-to-day team oversight. This role includes assisting providers with patient care, managing clinical workflows, mentoring staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) **strongly preferred**.
• 2 years leadership experience in a clinic setting required.
• Minimum 5 years total medical assistant experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional, team-oriented mindset.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in the use of EMR systems and clinical documentation.
• Knowledge of patient care procedures, diagnostic testing, and sterile techniques.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) **strongly preferred**.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
• Frequent use of hands for clinical and administrative tasks.
• Visual, auditory, and physical capability to perform clinical responsibilities.
