Job summary

Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians in the United States seeks a Clinic Team Lead to supervise clinical operations while continuing hands-on patient care. This working lead role supports providers, mentors staff, and ensures smooth day-to-day clinic workflows in a fast-paced orthopedic specialty setting.

You will oversee onboarding, patient education, DME fitting, and EMR documentation, while maintaining safety and quality standards. Strong leadership and bilingual skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• CMA/RMA certification strongly preferred.
• 2 years leadership experience in a clinic setting required.
• Minimum 5 years total medical assistant experience.
• Proficient in EMR systems and clinical documentation.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily clinical operations to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Serve as a go-to resource for staff regarding clinical procedures and workflow.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members and ensure compliance with clinic protocols.
• Assist with direct patient care, including rooming patients, taking histories and vitals.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, medications and post-visit care.
• Fit and instruct patients on the use of durable medical equipment (DME).
• Ensure exam rooms and clinical areas are clean, stocked and maintained.
• Monitor inventory and order medical supplies and medications as needed.
• Ensure proper disposal of biohazard and SHARPS materials per safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with providers and Facilities Manager to solve operational issues.
• Conduct audits and assist with quality improvement efforts.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system.

Job Summary:

The Clinic Team Lead serves as a working lead within the clinic, supporting both clinical duties and day-to-day team oversight. This role includes assisting providers with patient care, managing clinical workflows, mentoring staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) **strongly preferred**.
• 2 years leadership experience in a clinic setting required.
• Minimum 5 years total medical assistant experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional, team-oriented mindset.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in the use of EMR systems and clinical documentation.
• Knowledge of patient care procedures, diagnostic testing, and sterile techniques.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) **strongly preferred**.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
• Frequent use of hands for clinical and administrative tasks.
• Visual, auditory, and physical capability to perform clinical responsibilities.
