Job summary

BJC Medical Group's Medical Arts Clinic in Farmington, MO is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to supervise a clinical team and advance patient care. You will mentor colleagues, manage daily operations, and support onboarding and process improvements in a multi-specialty setting.

The role is Monday–Friday with a sign-on bonus eligible; lead responsibilities include staff coaching, ensuring compliance with clinic protocols, and maintaining high standards of patient care across the practice.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-5 years experience in a Medical Assistant role.
• Cert/Reg in Area of Expertise required.

Responsibilities

• Manages inventory and tracking of medications and supplies.
• Ensures OSHA compliance and adherence to patient care protocols.
• Acts as MA clinical subject matter expert to assist practice management in coverage and daily operations.
• Monitors MA training and certification records for HR compliance.
• Performs triage of incoming escalated patient requests.

Role Purpose
Responsible for leading a team of Medical Assistants in providing patient care under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. Serves as an experienced role model within the practice supporting compliance, providing cross-training, following practice protocols and performing procedures within the practice.
Responsibilities

• Manages inventory and tracking of medications and supplies.

• Acts as MA clinical subject matter expert to assist practice management in oversight of coverage and daily patient operations.
