Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant for our Grove Park Clinic in Atlanta, GA. You will perform advanced MA duties, supervise others, and collaborate with Physicians and APPs to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role involves vital signs, phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and EMR documentation, with mentorship and process improvement responsibilities. TB screening participation is required.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of MA school/training program and approval from Provider.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR Certified.
  • 3+ years experience.
  • This role is part of the TB screening program.

Responsibilities

  • Discuss symptoms and obtain vital signs.
  • Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens.
  • Administer medications/vaccines as allowed by certification.
  • Maintain examination rooms and sterilize equipment.
  • Document information in the EMR and coordinate with physicians.

As a Medical Assistant Lead, you will work at our onsite outpatient Grove Park Clinic in Atlanta, GA

The Lead Medical Assistant performs clinical duties, including but not limited to: discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, medication/vaccine administration, phlebotomy, collecting specimens, performing diagnostic screening tests, sterilizing/cleaning equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and documenting information into the electronic medical records system. Collaborates closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Delivers direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. Decisions are regarding the daily priorities for an administrative work group and/or external vendors including coordinating work activities and monitoring progress towards schedules/goals, and often oversees work of others and/or is the primary administrative owner of a main process, program, product, or technology. Works within broad guidelines with little oversight. The Lead Medical Assistant possesses advanced skills and knowledge, contributes to process improvement, delivers in-depth education/training, and provides advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants.

Required
  • Successful completion of MA school/training program and a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant with 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certified
  • 3+ years experience
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
Preferred
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • 1+ years of MA experience
  • Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$48,300 - $65,900 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
