Job summary

Samba is a media intelligence company seeking a Principal, Insights & Innovation to design and deliver data-driven media solutions for internal and external customers. You will blend statistical rigor with business acumen, leading research and rapid prototyping across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include building interactive dashboards, applying advanced analytics, and shaping the product roadmap with sales and engineering collaborations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in analytics, statistics, data science, CS, or math; equivalent practical experience.
• 4–6 years in data science, analytics, CS or applied research with data-driven apps experience.
• Experience in media/advertising measurement or cross-channel analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new media intelligence solutions using Samba data assets and external data.
• Collaborate with Sales to translate business needs into analytic/product concepts.
• Monitor industry trends to identify market directions and Samba leadership opportunities.
• Apply descriptive, inferential, and predictive statistics with rigorous model selection and tuning.
• Develop interactive client deliverables (e.g., dashboards using JavaScript/React).
• Incorporate AI and agentic workflows into solutions, including embeddings and vector databases.
• Support thought leadership and research to strengthen Samba's industry position.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to propose roadmap-aligned solutions.
• Prototype quickly, validate with customers, and scale templates for the team.
