Job summary

Samba is hiring a Principal, Insights & Innovation to fuse data science with business acumen, delivering cutting-edge media intelligence solutions. You will design analytics platforms, partner with Sales for customer discovery, and lead the adoption of advanced statistical methods across products.

The role emphasizes building interactive dashboards, applying AI techniques, and driving thought leadership while collaborating with sales, product, engineering, and marketing teams.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years in data science, analytics, CS or applied research
• Experience building and shipping data-driven apps
• Experience presenting results to stakeholders or customers

Responsibilities

• Design and build new media intelligence solutions using Samba data assets and external data sources.
• Partner with the sales team to conduct customer discovery and solution development.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify market direction.
• Apply descriptive, inferential, and predictive statistics with rigorous model selection and tuning.
• Develop personalized, interactive client deliverables (e.g., browser-based dashboards) using JavaScript and React.
• Incorporate AI and agentic workflows into internal and external solutions.
• Support thought leadership and partnership-based research to strengthen Samba's position.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to pitch solutions for adoption into the roadmap.
• Prototype quickly, validate with customers, and scale solutions across the team.
• Apply Samba methodology to billions of raw data signals to aid data-driven decisions.
