Job summary

Samba TV is seeking a Principal, Insights & Innovation in San Francisco to architect data-driven media intelligence solutions and lead cross-functional discovery with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing. You will shape analytics strategy, apply advanced statistics, and deliver interactive dashboards and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 to 6 years in data science, analytics, CS or applied research.
• Experience building and shipping data-driven applications for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new media intelligence solutions using Samba data assets and external data sources.
• Partner with sales to conduct customer discovery and translate needs into analytic concepts.
• Monitor industry trends to identify where the market is heading and Samba can lead.
• Apply descriptive, inferential, and predictive statistics with solid model selection.
• Develop interactive client deliverables and dashboards using JavaScript and React.
• Incorporate AI and agentic workflows into internal and external solutions.
• Prototype quickly, validate with customers, and scale templates for broader use.
• Apply Samba methodology to billions of raw data signals to inform decisions.
