Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to lead installation and repair of automated packaging systems at our Chicago site.

The role supports the Operations Maintenance team in designing solutions for complex problems, mentoring technicians, and managing projects. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in preventative maintenance, experience reading schematics, and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience performing preventative maintenance.
• 2+ years reading blueprints and schematics.
• 2+ years of work order management.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead service technicians on installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment.
• Support Operations Maintenance by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects.
• Train and mentor service and contract technicians.
• Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems in the building.
• Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used.
• Develop training plans for service technicians and work plans for emergency repair of critical assets.
