Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. seeks a Mechanical/Robotics Engineer to join the Product Support and Development - Mechanical team in the Manufacturing Division.

You will own from problem statement creation to solution integration and project closure, leading a small team to develop automation for safer, more reliable, and more economical production environments. Daily work includes hands-on design, CAD, and collaboration with customers, with solutions deployed on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Approximately 2+ years of experience in three or more areas: automation integration, materials and processes, mechanics, CAD, manufacturing engineering, electronic manufacturing techniques, problem-solving, project tracking, and strong communication.
• Team-oriented, quick learner, good written and verbal communication, able to work in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Owns problem statements through to solution integration and project closure.
• Lead a small team to develop automation solutions for safer, more reliable production environments.
• Hands-on design work and CAD tasks; verify solutions on the production floor.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Deliver results on time and within budget while developing employees.
