Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking an Experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our on-site team. You will lead complex HVAC and plumbing design for diverse buildings, mentor engineers and drafters, and ensure code-compliant construction documents.

Responsibilities include concept development, site assessments, energy-conservation assessments, and QC reviews. Strong leadership, Revit MEP proficiency, and 3D BIM collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
10+ years' experience in consulting HVAC engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer or able to obtain licensure.
Proficient in Revit MEP for mechanical design and coordination.
Ability to design complex HVAC systems (VAV/DOAS/VRF) and associated piping and ductwork.
Strong knowledge of building codes and load calculations.

Responsibilities

Lead development of HVAC design concepts, independently or with others.
Conduct site assessments and building analysis, produce reports and recommendations.
Identify energy conservation measures and perform cost analyses.
Provide quality control of mechanical designs and feedback.
Serve as Engineer in Responsible Charge for stamping and signing docs.
Mentor a team of engineers and drafters to deliver construction documents.
